"We want to express gratitude to our shareholders for trust and support by an unpreceded decision – the supervisory board of the bank has recommended … the payment of record dividends in the history of Sberbank, of 565 billion rubles. This is 25 rubles per share, and a yield of about 15% annually to the price of Sberbank's shares over the last few days," Gref said.

The shareholders will consider the recommendation at an annual general meeting on April 21.
